Profile:

Dr Sudhir Suryakant Shetkar is a young and dynamic cardiologistwho began his medical carrier from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ group ofHospitals, Mumbai. He did his postgraduate training in internal medicine andthereafter did his super-specialization in Cardiology from the prestigious All India Institutes of MedicalSciences, New Delhi. He is thoroughly trained in coronaryinterventions (angioplasty,IVUS, FFR and OCT), structural heart disease interventions (Device closures and Balloondilations), device therapy of conduction disorders (permanent pacemakers, ImplantableCardioverter Defibrillator, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy), andpediatric cardiology. During his stint at AIIMS he was actively involved inresearch and is having eightpublications in various national and international journals. Hehas to his credit various presentations in national / international conferencesand was invited as a faculty in the prestigious European society of cardiology conference 2013,held at Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is the winner of National Level TorrentYoung Scholar Award (TYSA) 2012 and has received the prestigious internationaltravel grant from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). He joined Apollo Hospitals Nashik asconsultant cardiologist and was instrumental in establishing state of the artcardiology department in a short span of three months.
